Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the right photographer for your wedding is incredibly important, one of the most important factors is often over looked, what is the photographer actually like? After all you’ll probably spend 10+ hours with them on the actual day plus all the time beforehand whilst planning the photography of your wedding.
There are many questions to ask or consider when choosing the right photographer, below are some of the more common questions you should consider, if you have a question that is not covered please send me an email or call..
How long will you be at the wedding for?
I don't have any time limits, I wont be photographing any other weddings and if there is something to photograph i'l be there to capture it. My longest wedding? 17 hours!
How far do you travel?
I offer UK wide coverage, travelling to new venues/ locations is just one of the many things I enjoy about the work that I do. I do not charge extra for travel expenses.
Do you offer any discounts or deals?
I believe my packages are current and competitive and I am always looking to improve them based on customer demand. I do offer a reduced rate for weekday weddings where 15% can be saved on the total cost. I also offer a fantastic referral incentive which can be found here. Options for print and album solutions can be discussed and tailored quotations offered for anything specific that you had in mind.
Do you have any hidden costs or charges?
Absolutely not, and this will never change, all of my prices are upfront and honest. No excessive after sales tactics, just good honest advice.
Can we print the photos?
Yes you can, you will receive a print license for the images which means you may use your own preferred print supplier. Please note that some print companies will still request the permission of the photographer in order to do this and I am happy to speak with them to give the go ahead. You can of course ask me for professional printing advice or product solutions with no obligation to buy from me.
How long will it be until we receive our photos?
I aim to have the full set of images processed and ready to send within 3-4 weeks, I also process a small selection of images (10-15) the very next day so that you can enjoy them before departing on your honeymoon or upload them to social networking sites for everyone to see.
I’m not sure I want the bridal preparations photographed; can you miss that part out?
It is your wedding and of course everyone is different, you may choose not to have the bridal prep photographed however please bear in mind that I specialize in documentary style photography that covers the whole day and all of those moments that are created from start to finish. My style is unobtrusive and I have yet to meet a bride that has regretted having me there from the start.
Do you have an assistant or second photographer?
If an assistant is needed I can call upon a number of experienced people to fulfill this role. If you would like an official second photographer I have 3 professional photographers to choose from and if they are available their fee can be negotiated.
Can you recommend a videographer, cake maker, DJ or band?
Luckily many couples see booking a photographer as a priority which usually means there a few extra things to consider after that, I only ever recommend people I have personally worked with and have the same high standards as me. I would never recommend anyone that I wouldn’t book myself.
Who will photograph your wedding?
Tough question, I follow a number of other professional photographers so choosing one could be difficult, however in this ever increasing ‘selfie’ world we live in, it might just be me.
How can we book you for our wedding?
Booking me to photograph your wedding is very easy; my deposit is £250 with the balance due 4 weeks prior to the wedding date, if you would like to pay in installments this can be arranged also. I will require a signed booking form and the deposit before the date is confirmed. Email me to discuss your booking here.
